Somdej amulets are among the most esteemed sacred objects, symbolizing the spiritual lineage of Pra Arjan Toh (Somdej Phra Buddhacarya To Phrommarangsi). These amulets not only embody profound historical and spiritual significance but also hold a revered place in the hearts of collectors and devotees.

Among the many temples that produce Somdej amulets honoring this lineage, three are especially renowned:

Wat Rakhang Khositaram – The origin of the iconic Phra Somdej Wat Rakhang.

Wat Chaiyo Worawihan (Kekchaiyo) – Known for being Arjan Toh’s first Temple where his Mom served

Wat Bang Khun Phrom (Wat Mai Amataros)

The original Somdej amulets from these temples are rare treasures, with prices reaching hundreds of thousands to millions of baht. Their limited availability has shifted the attention of collectors to later commemorative editions crafted under the same sacred lineage.

The 100th Anniversary Phra Somdej Wat Rakhang (B.E. 2515)
A prominent example is the 100th Anniversary Phra Somdej Wat Rakhang, created in B.E. 2515 (1972) to commemorate the centenary of Pra Arjan Toh’s passing.

The initiative, led by M.L. Neungporn Sutas, was officially approved by Phra Ratcha Thammapani, the acting abbot of Wat Rakhang.

The project aimed to produce sacred objects that embodied spiritual and historical significance. Sacred materials included leftover blessed powder and broken pieces from original Phra Somdej amulets discovered during the 1957 (B.E. 2500) restoration of the pagoda at Wat Bang Khun Phrom.

These materials were carefully incorporated into the new batch, enhancing the amulets’ sanctity.

The 100th Anniversary amulets underwent three grand consecration ceremonies:

Thursday, September 16, B.E. 2514 (1971)
Saturday, September 18, B.E. 2514 (1971)
Thursday, June 22, B.E. 2515 (1972) – Marking the exact 100th anniversary of Pra Arjan Toh’s passing.

These ceremonies were attended by numerous dignitaries, including members of the Thai Royal Family, and were led by senior monks from across Thailand.

The elaborate rituals and royal participation underscore the importance and sacredness of this batch.

Many devotees who wear the 100th Anniversary Phra Somdej Wat Rakhang report profound spiritual and material blessings, often tied to the amulet’s baramee (spiritual merit and authority).

Wearers frequently describe a noticeable increase in personal confidence, respect from peers, and a commanding presence in social and professional settings.

The amulet is believed to carry the compassionate and wise energy of Pra Arjan Toh, empowering its wearer to lead with kindness and integrity.

Numerous accounts highlight the amulet’s ability to open paths to financial prosperity.

Traders, business owners, and professionals have shared stories of unexpected business growth, lucrative opportunities, and an increased flow of wealth after wearing the amulet. It is said that the sacred powder used in this batch amplifies the energy of abundance and good fortune.

The amulet is also regarded as a talisman of protection, helping wearers avoid dangers and overcome challenges.

Several testimonies recount near-miss accidents and other instances where the wearer felt safeguarded by its presence.

The 100th Anniversary Phra Somdej Wat Rakhang continues to inspire devotion, providing both spiritual elevation and tangible benefits to those who honor its legacy.

As a bridge between past and present, it preserves the timeless teachings of Pra Arjan Toh while uplifting the lives of its wearers.
